Frame descriptions

We "float" all our images as standard. Floating is a method of framing whereby the image sits raised above the back mat with a gap left between the image and the top mat. Floating provides extra depth and dimension to an image whilst creating a modern, clean look.

 

Chocolate box

28mm wide x 45mm deep chocolate wood frame. Create an earthy, natural tone whilst still retaining a clean, modern feel. Well suited to any photographs that contain deep browns or earth tones.

 

Silver Box

33mm wide x 50mm deep brushed silver wood frame. Well suited to any image this frame creates a very modern, clean look to compliment any house with modern decor'.

 

About our framing

All our framing is done by expert staff who specialise in working with high quality photographic prints. We use only the finest acid free materials to ensure that your valuable print stands the test of time. All Sam Burns limited edition prints are framed using optical quality shinkolite acrylic in place of glass, this provides much higher UV protection than standard galss whilst also being shatter resistant.

If you choose to have your framing done elsewhere it is advisable to select a framer knowlegeable in the area of Ilfochrome prints. These images are very delicate so please choose someone who guarantees their work.
